Abuse Prevention Systems Background Checks (Levels 1-7) do not include credit or financial information. Background Checks are regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), legislation passed by the United States Federal Government to safeguard the accuracy and privacy of consumer information in Background Checks. Some of the mandated forms, including ‘A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act,’ contain language related to credit reports that cannot be altered or deleted. Abuse Prevention Systems Background Checks will not impact an applicant’s credit score and will not reveal any financial information in the completed Background Check.
Abuse Prevention Systems provides employment Credit Reports to organizations that apply for them and have a legally permissible purpose for accessing them. If a Background Check with a Credit Report is ordered, the QuickApp email and disclosure form will advise the applicant that a Credit Report is being ordered.
